Worlds Away | Crinkle Crags
I’ve always been overly competitive. On this morning, heading up Bowfell in the dark, the feeling struck again. Despite my early start, there they were, up ahead in the darkness. Headtorch occasionally glistening in my direction. Head down. Legs moving faster than before. They were worlds away. In the final furlongs towards the summit, our paths drew level - we stopped, breathless but smiling at one another. I may not have made it up in time for this sunrise if it wasn't for them!
