Description
I couldn’t quite believe my eyes as I watched this mesmerising light burst through a distant break in the clouds to the east. I will often feel a great twang of disappointment when I see such phenomenal moments of light and I’m not on a mountain summit, but not on this occasion. Loch Druim Suardalain is as popular a spot for photography as you will ever find in Scotland, yet there was not a soul to be seen. The only sound was the occasional rustling of the bracken as a gentle breeze passed through. Everything else was perfectly still and silent, yet simultanteously stupendous. Ten or so minutes of serene bliss.
