Description
Although I had been aware of this remarkable viewpoint for many years, my reluctance to photograph the ‘obvious’ had subliminally deterred me from visiting this summit in Coigach, with it’s position granting a spectacular outlook over the mountains of Assynt to the north. There had always been alternative allures. Other unknowns. Mysteries to uncover elsewhere. What a flawed perspective that turned out to be.
Admittedly, I am particularly proud of the arrangement here. I feel like I achieved a unique and creative expression of what is a relatively popular scene (as far as photography in the Scottish mountains goes!) and the subtle light providing a delicious splash of magenta across the scene was the cherry on the cake.
